We welcome you to drop by when our office is open and we are not having an event. If you would like to drop by for a tour, please contact the registrar to discuss the best time for visiting.

Informal Stays

We welcome anyone to come for an informal stay. This can be as short as 24 hours and as long as a week. It may be of interest to those who are curious about the monastery community, or would like to try out residency here without committing to a full month. We highly recommend that anyone interested in residential training come for an informal stay first, so you can get to know us and see directly what training is like. Those here for an informal stay will be expected to participate whole-heartedly in the daily schedule, and attend all meditation periods, meals, classes, and work practice.

The suggested donation for an informal stay is $35 per-night; however, we never turn people away because of financial considerations.
